This was the lineup that performed at the high school talent show. Peter Harvey (vocals), joined the XS in 1984 after Hank left the band. Peter Harvey (vocals), joined XS in spring of 1983 and then the band began writing new, original songs featured on the Forever Never Came LP. The band was unsigned, so in true D.I.Y. style, they self-funded the recording and pressing of the album and started their own record label, Bird Of Prey, in 1985. XS played local shows in the Boston metro west suburbs (most notably opening for D.R.I. in Jeff’s basement), in Waterbury, Vermont, (opening for The Wards), and live on a college radio station.
