XS was a Punk band formed by three senior high school friends at Concord-Carlisle High School, Concord, Massachusetts, U.S.A in 1982: Glenn Angell (guitar), Greg Hogan (bass), and Jeff Oliphant (drums). This lineup played at the high school talent show in 1983 with Hank Lynn (vocals) playing a few cover songs and some live, improvised jams. Peter Harvey (vocals), joined the XS in spring of 1983 and then the band began writing original songs featured on the Forever Never Came LP. The band was unsigned, so in true D.I.Y. style, they self-funded the recording and pressing of their original album and founded their own record label, Bird Of Prey in 1985. XS played a handful of local shows in the suburbs, in Vermont, and live on a college radio station. XS broke up in 1986.
